Temple Church
The Temple Church is one of the most historic and beautiful churches in London. Here are eight hundred years of history: from the Crusaders in the 12th century, through the turmoil of the Reformation and the founding father of Anglican theology, to some of the most famous church music in London. For the last eight hundred years, it has been a place of praise and prayer.
Many fine musicians have been associated with the church. The church has also been home to many fine instruments. The present organ was built by Harrison & Harrison ltd. and is a fine example of English Romantic organ building. It contains over 3,000 pipes and has four manuals. The organ has featured on many recordings, some of which can be found by clicking here.
The organ is to be fully restored by Harrison’s from 2011 until Easter 2013. Read more>

The Temple Church Choir consists of eighteen choristers and twelve professional choirmen. The choir is considered to be one of the finest choirs in London, a reputation it gained soon after Dr Edward John Hopkins became its choirmaster in 1843.
Even though its primary role is to enhance the church's liturgy, the choir has been involved with some groundbreaking projects. The choristers are awarded generous bursaries towards their education. Read more>
